The Shade Red Design Story

Shade Red Design was founded by me with the goal of bringing delight and beauty to you in your every day life.

My hand drawn art featuring whimsical animals, birds, florals, and other nature motifs, are combined in pretty patterns that adorn home goods, walls, and fabrics.

Intrigued by art deco and art nouveau, and combining elements in new and interesting ways, my unique designs bring charm and drama to the goods they adorn.

My background in the graphic arts gave me the skillset to create beautiful design working with colors, imagery and typography. Creating corporate based work however did not fuel my passion for my soul work. I wanted to create beautiful things for the purpose of being beautiful. I started drawing and painting as a practice that bloomed into a passion to make pretty things that people would love and that I would love to create.
